Terms of Service — Storyloom

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Storyloom (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Storyloom, operated under the MadeThis platform.

2. Description of Service

Storyloom is an AI-powered life archive service. It imports your photos, videos, and voice notes; organizes them by people, places, and events; builds timelines; and generates highlight reels and AI-narrated documentaries from your media library. Features vary by subscription plan.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Notify us immediately at team@storyloom-99f.madethis.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription & Billing

Storyloom offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis at the rates displayed at checkout.

Pro plan — $12.99 per month, billed monthly.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice to your registered email address.
All payments are processed securely through our payment processor. We do not store your full card details.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
Not upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or that infringes the rights of others.
Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service.
Not use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or engage in automated scraping.
Ensure you have the right to upload any media you submit to the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain ownership of all photos, videos, and other media you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant Storyloom a limited, non-exclusive license to process and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Our content: The Storyloom platform, including its software, design, trademarks, and AI models, is owned by or licensed to Storyloom. You may not use our intellectual property without prior written permission.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a security or legal risk. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STORYLOOM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO STORYLOOM IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
